Panasonic TOUGHBOOK initiative to cut delivery time to 30 days a hit with partners and customers

Delivery time of Panasonic TOUGHBOOK Windows notebooks and tablets reduced to 30 working days

BRACKNELL, UK. 27 November 2019 – Panasonic TOUGHBOOK’s initiative to cut delivery times for 90% of its rugged notebooks and tablets is proving a hit with partners and customers. The new industry-leading delivery times are available for all Microsoft Windows notebook and tablet products, apart from bespoke project customisation orders.

In the past, Panasonic has taken up to 90 days to deliver its products from order date, as a result of the high levels of customisation and configurability within its range of rugged devices. Following a supply chain rationalisation project at the European Toughbook configuration and service centre, delivery times for customers are being drastically reduced to 30 days across the entire product range. Only the 10% of bespoke product orders will remain with a 60-90 day delivery time.

Jon Atherton, Director, at CI-Distribution, Panasonic TOUGHBOOK’S UK Distributor, said: “These new delivery commitments are a significant boost for Panasonic customers and its solution partners in the channel. As businesses continue to look to increase the productivity of their workforce with mobile computing devices it is reassuring to know that they can order market-leading Panasonic TOUGHBOOK products, with all the flexibility and functionality they offer, and receive their goods in industry-leading timeframes.”

“The reduction of delivery times has helped us to significantly improve the development of our business by accelerating the decision-making ability of our customers,” said Antonio Blandino, Commercial Director at Italian Panasonic TOUGHBOOK partner PROJECT ADRIATICA.

Kevin Jones, Managing Director of the Panasonic Mobile Solutions Business in Europe, said: “This is another landmark achievement in the quality of service Panasonic TOUGHBOOK delivers. Our customers understand that a highly configurable rugged TOUGHBOOK device, that is built and tested to order in our facility, can take some time to deliver. However, these new industry–leading delivery timescales provide another level of flexibility and responsiveness for our customers that is already being appreciated.”

20 years of excellence
Panasonic’s configuration and service centre recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and is a unique facility in the production of rugged devices in Europe. All Panasonic TOUGHBOOK devices are built to order, tested, repaired and serviced at the facility, which works hand-in-hand with the design and solutions team helping Panasonic TOUGHBOOK customers to create business solutions for their mobile workforces that boost productivity and cut costs.

As European market leaders, Panasonic TOUGHBOOK’s rugged notebook and tablet market share by revenue (48%) was larger than its nearest four competitors combined in 2018.

Meet SysKit Point, the central point for Office 365 governance

SysKit Point, the newest SysKit tool, is officially out. With collaborative Office 365 governance reporting, extended contextual Office 365 audit logs storage, and various security, compliance and analytics metrics, SysKit Point presents an all-in-one Office 365 governance solution.

20th November 2019 – SysKit, a software development company recognized for its innovative enterprise solutions, just released a new Office 365 product – SysKit Point. It is created to empower all stakeholders to automate IT tasks and ensure security and control over all Office 365 services - SharePoint Online, Office 365 Groups, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams. In the text below, discover more about SysKit Point’s features.

Controlled delegates governance via web access
SysKit Point is a web app, with role-based access security included. It supports the entire organization and allows collaborative governance between stakeholders in the company. Every stakeholder can access the app within their own scope of permissions within Office 365. Global admins have full access, while site owners, group and team owners can access sites, groups, and teams within their domain.

Collaborative Office 365 governance
Role-based access to the app allows different users to use it according to their specific needs. Admins can delegate some of their management and governance duties to business users and focus on global security and configuration of a tenant. Business end-users are empowered to govern and report on their subordinates and the content they own. CSOs, compliance officers, and auditors can make use of the app as well, monitor user activity and make sure the company complies with their governance and security policies.

Office 365 inventory and changes tracking
Data will be automatically synced when starting the app for the first time, showing the entire Office 365 inventory. With every following use, the changes that occurred will be automatically shown, for easier management of the Office 365 platform.

Extended Office 365 audit logs reports
SysKit Point collects admin and end-user activities inside Office 365 allowing companies to detect any unauthorized changes or potentially malicious activities. It offers unlimited and unrestricted access to the entire history of audit log entries, which presents a welcoming shift from the built-in 90-day limitation of the Microsoft E3 license. The cost savings is an additional bonus, as SysKit Point comes at only a fraction of the price of a Microsoft E5 or additional AAS Premium licenses.

Advanced Office 365 sharing reports
The app offers the most advanced sharing reports for Office 365. Users can explore every detail of shared content throughout Office 365, including who shared it, who has access to it, and what type of access each user has. This includes all types of external sharing that might be happening within the tenant. The biggest innovation the app has to offer is the option to remove all guest access given via links, including anonymous and company links.

To learn more about this ultimate Office 365 governance solution, visit the SysKit Point website, and schedule a personalized demo tour with one of the qualified customer success representatives for more details.

Builder Now Enables Businesses to Bring App Ideas to Life in Minutes

  • Businesses can now prototype a tailor-made app for free in as little as 10 minutes
  • Fast, affordable app prototyping takes the pain away from software development and speeds up go-to-market for new business ideas.

20th November –, the platform that lets people build apps without coding, today announced Builder Now, an instant prototyping tool that helps anyone take their first step in designing an app and making their business idea a reality in as little as 10 minutes. The tool goes live on the 21st of November at the world’s leading start-up event, Slush in Helsinki.

Builder Now lets people explore ideas and show how they can work, before investing time and money into development. It’s fast, free, and trims out hours of specification writing and meetings, by letting people try rather than talk about user journeys.

Builder’s CEO and Co-founder, Sachin Dev Duggal, said: “Thousands of people have had an idea for a software-based business, or for tailor-made software for their business, but don’t know where to start. At Builder, we want to make it as easy as possible for anyone with an idea in their head to take it to the next level. Builder Now is a game changer in the software development industry.”

“We’re removing one of the biggest bottlenecks, developing a prototype, which enables people to build confidence in their idea before they invest significant time and money. We’re freeing people to experiment, and that helps ideas get built.”

Before Builder Now, those with an idea for an app would have to identify a development team, wait to be assigned a product expert and a design team, sort out the user flow and create designs from scratch – before even getting started. Whether someone already owns a business, are an employee of a company wanting to launch a new project, or an aspiring entrepreneur – Builder Now takes all these barriers away.

Builder Now keeps a user focused on solving the ‘what we need’, and ‘why we need it’ questions rather than the ‘how do I code’, by visualising the app from an idea in as little as 10 minutes. The experience is designed to provide confidence to take the next step with an idea.

Key benefits include:

  • Generating a clickable visualisation of an app, via a click and play system.
  • Sharing the link to this prototype lets you test the concept of the software and its flow to gather early feedback.
  • Visualising the user journey is an important aspect of software development – flow built in a few simple clicks.
  • Save time in the design process by getting quick feedback, which saves money and reducing time to market.

Builder’s goal of making the creation of tailor-made software accessible to everyone drove the decision to launch Builder Now as a free product. By signing up at people can create their clickable app prototype. After refining their app idea with Builder Now, they can click through to price, build, deploy and maintain their new app all within the Builder platform.

Future options will include expert guidance on specification to optimise designs, and custom graphics to ensure that a prototype can remain true to a brand.

About Builder
Led by serial entrepreneur Sachin Dev Duggal, Builder was created with the belief that everyone should be able to build their ideas without needing to code. And any idea brought to life without wasting time, money or resources.

Builder is a global company with split headquarters in Los Angeles and London, supported by offices in Delhi and Tokyo. Customers include the BBC, Virgin Group and the San Francisco Giants, Builder is reshaping how tailor-made software is built and run.
